Job summary

Liberti Labs in Singapore seeks a senior compliance lead to take the local entity through licensing and run its compliance function, serving as appointed AML/CFT compliance officer while supporting the business on legal matters without compromising independence.

The role is early-stage with limited staff and growing responsibilities. You will own the MAS processes, draft key agreements, manage external counsel, and eventually build a compliance team as the business expands.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of post-qualification experience in capital markets or securities trading, ideally in compliance, AML or legal.

Responsibilities

• Take the RMO and CMSL applications through to authorisation and build the compliance framework, policies, submissions, and MAS responses.
• Act as the firm's primary contact for MAS and other regulators.
• Own the compliance monitoring plan and conduct risk assessments.
• Run market surveillance for the trading platform and oversee related reporting and enforcement.
• Serve as the appointed AML/CFT compliance officer: onboarding, monitoring, sanctions screening, alert analysis, and suspicious activity reporting.
• Report to the Board and regulators; advise on legal and regulatory questions as the business grows.
• Draft client, participant and intra-group agreements, including service arrangements and MAS outsourcing controls.
• Handle corporate legal work for a new entity: decisions, employment, PDPA, IP.
• Train staff and the Board; monitor regulatory changes and maintain required registers.
• Manage external counsel and plan to grow a compliance team in the future.
• 5–10 years of post-qualification experience in capital markets or securities trading; MAS regimes knowledge.
