Job description

Overview

The incumbent will support the overall branding, communication, and outreach goals of the Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery departments. This includes planning and executing marketing strategies, managing content for digital and social media platforms, organizing events, and ensuring timely and effective communication with stakeholders. The role involves working closely with clinicians and both internal and external stakeholders to ensure aligned messaging and a consistent brand voice.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the services and expertise of the Orthopaedic and Hand Surgery departments.

• Conceptualise and create content for EDMs, posters, digital panels, clinic displays, and social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube).

• Produce engaging digital content including videos, reels, and visuals for patient education and outreach.

• Monitor and improve SEO performance; refine strategies to improve digital visibility.

• Review and update departmental websites to enhance navigation, accuracy, and relevance of information.

• Plan, coordinate, and maintain the calendar of departmental events and outreach activities.

• Organise and support departmental campaigns, patient engagement sessions, and community outreach efforts.

• Draft memos, invitations, and briefing notes for internal and external events.

• Collaborate with clinicians to develop patient education materials and highlight departmental services.

• Ensure alignment of all communications with institutional branding guidelines.

• Support any other ad-hoc duties or departmental initiatives as assigned by the Reporting Officer.

Requirements

• Degree in Marketing Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.

• At least 3 years of relevant experience in marketing, communications, or events.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; working knowledge of design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is advantageous.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.

• Able to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
