Job summary

CoreWeave is seeking a Software Engineer, Cluster Orch (SUNK), to shape the long-term architecture of our Kubernetes-native orchestration platform. You will lead critical components, drive cross-team initiatives, and set reliability standards in a high-demand GPU cluster environment.

You will mentor senior engineers and influence architecture across teams, with a focus on scaling, quota enforcement, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable AI compute infrastructure.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience in production systems.
• Proficiency in Go and distributed systems design.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes internals, Slurm schedulers, or cloud-native development.
• Demonstrated experience setting technical direction and influencing architecture.
• Ability to mentor senior engineers and elevate engineering standards.

Responsibilities

• Define long-term architecture and strategy for CoreWeave's orchestration platform.
• Own critical components of the orchestration layers and managed services.
• Drive cross-organisational initiatives in scheduling, quota enforcement, and hyperscale scaling.
• Establish best practices for reliability and observability; resolve bottlenecks under pressure.
• Mentor engineers across teams to raise technical standards.
