Job summary

Google Singapore is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for Cloud and Third Party Platform Security. You will design and deliver scalable software to identify and remediate security risks across Google’s cloud and third-party footprint, with autonomy and cross-functional collaboration.

You will mentor junior engineers, drive milestones for security-focused projects, and work on high-availability distributed systems. This role requires deep security focus and hands-on coding in Go or Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages.
• 3 years of experience building software for data privacy or security (e.g., identity and access management).
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and deploy software components to identify and remediate security gaps.
• Own engineering milestones for projects within Cloud and Third Party Security, ensuring quality and security.
• Partner cross-functionally to define requirements and implement scalable security controls.
• Mentor junior software engineers to foster technical excellence and learning.
• Identify technical debt and refactor to improve maintainability and reliability.
