Job summary

FinOps Weekly is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for our Cloud Platform Engineering team in Singapore. You will design and build cost management and security platforms, owning end-to-end delivery from design to rollout.

The role emphasizes backend work with Go, Python, or Java and hands-on cloud data pipelines. You will work on multi-cloud data processing, access control, and automation to optimize cloud spend and security posture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2 years building platform or infrastructure tooling.
• Strong backend engineering skills in Go, Python, or Java.
• Hands-on experience with GCP or AWS.
• Experience designing and building data pipelines or backend services that process and aggregate large datasets.
• Solid understanding of cloud security principles: IAM, RBAC/ABAC, least-privilege access, secrets management.

Responsibilities

• Design and build a multi-level billing and cost attribution pipeline ingesting cloud billing data.
• Develop the billing dashboard for self-serve cost reporting across departments.
• Implement anomaly detection and alerting for cloud usage patterns.
• Build cost optimization recommendations based on utilization signals across cloud resources.
