Job summary

Jobline Resources Pte Ltd is seeking a software professional to design, develop, test, and maintain scalable applications and backend services in a cloud-centric environment. You will build RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems, and perform code reviews to uphold best practices.

The role emphasizes cloud development on AWS and/or Azure, containerized architectures, IaC, and strong focus on security and monitoring.

Qualifications

• 3-4 years of experience in software application development.
• Experience with REST APIs, web applications, backend services, or microservices.
• Practical experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.
• Good understanding of cloud computing concepts including compute, storage, networking, databases, IAM/security, monitoring and logging, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Perform code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.
• Work with DevOps teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.

• Monitor deployments and resolve deployment-related issues.

Responsibilities

Software Application Development

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and backend services.
• Develop scalable, reliable, and maintainable applications using modern programming languages and frameworks.
• Translate business and technical requirements into effective software solutions.
• Develop RESTful APIs, microservices, and integrations with internal and external systems.
• Perform code reviews and follow software development best practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application defects, performance issues, and production incidents.

Cloud Application Development

• Develop and deploy applications on AWS and/or Microsoft Azure cloud platforms.
• Design applications to take advantage of cloud scalability, availability, resiliency, and security.
• Implement cloud-native and/or containerized application architectures.
• Configure and manage application environments across development, testing, staging, and production.

Work with cloud services such as:

• AWS: EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, S3, RDS, DynamoDB, API Gateway, CloudWatch, IAM, SQS/SNS.
• Azure: App Service, Azure Functions, AKS, Blob Storage, Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, API Management, Azure Monitor, Key Vault.

DevOps and CI/CD

• Work with DevOps teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate application build, testing, deployment, and release processes.
• Use tools such as Git, GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms.
• Support Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices using tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or Azure Bicep/ARM templates.
• Monitor application deployments and resolve deployment-related issues.

Application Security

• Develop applications according to secure coding practices.
• Implement authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, and appropriate access controls.
• Work with cloud IAM services to ensure least-privilege access.
• Identify and address application vulnerabilities and security risks.
• Support compliance with organizational security and data protection requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

3-4 years of experience in software application development.

Strong programming experience in one or more languages such as:

• Java
• C#
• Python
• JavaScript/TypeScript
• Go

Experience developing REST APIs, web applications, backend services, or microservices.

Practical experience with AWS and/or Microsoft Azure.

Good understanding of cloud computing concepts, including:

• Compute
• Storage
• Networking
• Databases
• IAM/security
• Monitoring and logging
• Scalability and high availability

Experience with Git and modern software development practices.

Knowledge of CI/CD and automated software deployment.
