Job summary

RAPSYS Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) with hands-on expertise across Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and IBM DB2. The role covers both AWS cloud and on-premises environments, with emphasis on high-availability, performance tuning, backup/recovery, and security.

The ideal candidate will manage Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, AWS RDS/Aurora, DB2 on EC2, and ILMT compliance, delivering reliable database services and supporting production deployments.

Qualifications

• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN backup/recovery.
• Strong knowledge of AWS RDS/Aurora, and DB2 on EC2.
• Backup and DR planning across cloud and on-premises.
• Security controls and patching across multi-database environments.
• Experience tuning and optimizing SQL across Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Administer Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL and IBM DB2 databases.
• Manage AWS RDS Oracle, RDS/Aurora MySQL, and RDS PostgreSQL environments.
• Manage DB2 and MySQL databases hosted on AWS EC2.
• Install, configure, upgrades, patching, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Monitor availability, performance, capacity and resources.
• Backup, recovery, restore testing, and disaster recovery activities.
• Manage users, roles, privileges, authentication, and security controls.
• Perform database performance and SQL tuning.
• Support production deployments, maintenance activities, incidents and change requests.
