Job description

The KKH Psychosocial Trauma Support Service (PTSS) is a dynamic team , who provides psychological and emotional support to help women, children and their families recover from traumatic experiences. Apart from hospital-based clinical work at KKH, PTSS is also involved in enhancing the capacity and capability of Singapore's community to provide post-crisis/trauma psycho-emotional support and interventions through its community project work.

We are looking for a full-time Clinical Psychologist who is interested in working in a supportive environment, with opportunities for growth in both clinical work and community-based project work. The applicant should be looking to contribute to the growth and development of the field of child trauma in Singapore.

As a PTSS Clinical Psychologist, you will be involved in:

  • Hospital-based work: Specialised psycho-emotional assessments and interventions for women, children and families with trauma-related concerns in inpatient and/or outpatient settings.
  • Community-based project work: Conducting talks and training in the area of child trauma and support, and working together with the community on increased preparedness to respond to crises and traumas for children and families in the community.

Clinical training, professional individual and group supervision will be provided to develop your professional growth and expertise in the area of trauma work.

Requirements:

  • Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology
  • Proficiency in English (spoken and written), possess effective interpersonal skills and good psychological report writing skills
  • Possess relevant qualifications to obtain registration as a full member with a recognised professional body (e.g., Singapore Psychological Society, Australian Psychological Society etc.)
  • Relevant clinical and supervision experience
  • Past clinical experience in child and/or trauma work is desirable but not a prerequisite to be eligible for this position
  • At least 4 years of relevant clinical experience in providing clinical supervision is desirable to be considered for Senior Psychologist position
