Job summary

The National Healthcare Group (NHG) invites applications for a Consultant to practice within the NHG Health network. The Consultant will review all new admissions, conduct ward rounds with medical teams, and provide consultations on complex cases, with clear communication to patients and families.

As a senior clinician, you will lead, mentor junior doctors, supervise residents, and engage in teaching and research activities.

Qualifications

• MBBS and appropriate postgraduate qualifications registrable with the SMC.
• Evidence of strong clinical judgement and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to lead, mentor and teach junior doctors and residents.

Responsibilities

• Review new admissions, conduct ward rounds with medical teams, and provide consultations on complex cases.
• Lead and supervise junior doctors, trainees, and residents; contribute to teaching and research.
• Attend departmental meetings and lead quality-improvement projects; participate in administrative duties.
• On-call ward rounds outside standard hours as required.
