Job summary

Beca Carter Hollings & Ferner (S.E.Asia) Pte Ltd is seeking a Resident Technical Officer to oversee technical and design issues onsite in Singapore. The candidate will supervise per Consultant direction and ensure drawings and specifications are followed, with emphasis on safety and timely issue resolution.

Requirements include an ITE certificate or Diploma in Civil Engineering, JAC accreditation with a valid RTO Practising Certificate, and minimum 5 years of RTR experience.

Qualifications

• ITE certificate / Diploma in Civil Engineering from a recognised tertiary institution.
• Accredited with IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC) with valid RTO Practising Certificate
• Minimum 5 years' working experience as a Resident Technical Officer.
• Preferably with experiences in healthcare projects.
• Excellent Interpersonal and Communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Job Manager to attend to technical and design issues at site and report issues to Job Manager.
• Provide standing supervision as and when directed by the Consultant team.
• Check through construction drawings and highlight discrepancies found between or within the same disciplines prior to the commencement of installation works.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance to approve drawings and specifications.
• Ensure adequate safety precautions are enforced on site.
• Resolve all site issues and ensure timely completion of the project.
• Attend site meetings, site inspections, testing and commissioning.
• Maintain site records.
• Estimated commencement of work in July/August 2026.
