Job summary

Beca in Singapore is seeking a Senior Engineer - Civil & Structural to join our Building Structures team. You will work with diverse clients on high-rise and complex projects, applying Eurocodes and international design codes while developing robust structural solutions.

You will lead design work, supervise junior engineers, prepare authority submissions, and collaborate with project teams to ensure quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering recognised by the Professional Engineers Board, Singapore.
• Minimum 7 years of experience designing multi-storey/high-rise buildings in a local engineering consultancy.
• Registered Professional Engineer with PEB and/or significant senior-level experience.
• Familiarity with codes of practice, regulations, and authority submission procedures.
• Competent user of relevant engineering software.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication.
• Team, client and delivery minded working style.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Qualified Person to develop structural schemes for buildings.
• Perform engineering analysis to assess stability and load requirements.
• Design in accordance with Eurocodes or other relevant design codes.
• Prepare submissions to authorities for design approval.
• Provide technical guidance to team members and lead where required.
• Attend project meetings with clients, PMs and other consultants.
• Attend site progress meetings and respond to technical queries.
• Lead junior engineers in design delivery and obtain required clearances.
• Conduct supervision and contract administration when needed.
