Job summary

Mott MacDonald Singapore is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our Building Structures team in Singapore. You will support detailed design, calculations, and technical reporting across a range of award-winning building projects, including major civic and commercial developments.

You will work in a collaborative, agile environment with multidisciplinary teams, delivering high-quality design and leading the technical aspects of projects from concept through construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering required.
• Interest in pursuing structural design engineering in a consultancy.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design engineering for foundations, steelwork and RC structures.
• Provide design sketches and reports for schematic and construction phases.
• Prepare detailed engineering computations for submissions.
• Prepare structural briefs, specifications and tender documents.
• Attend technical meetings with clients and inspections during construction.
• Undertake detailed design in Civil and Building Structures.
• Develop concepts and construction methodologies, lead project execution.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors and authorities for approvals.

Mott MacDonald Singapore is currently recruiting a Senior Structural Engineer to work in our Building Structures team. Within this role you will support the detailed design of civil & structural engineering and calculations, technical reporting, and support engineering tasks across a wide range of award-winning building projects. These projects include Changi Airport Terminal 5, civic and institutional projects, commercial and mixed-use developments. We are dedicated to delivering large infrastructure projects, to make a positive change for those who need it most.

As a large employee-owned consultancy, we have wide multi-disciplinary capabilities, and you will be working alongside other disciplines and sectors in a collaborative and agile working environment. We have industry leading experts with a track record of delivering within the transport industry and you will be fully supported in your development.

As part of the role, key responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out design engineering for foundation, steelwork and RC structures.
• Provide design sketches and reports required for schematic, design development and constructions phases of projects.
• Provide detailed engineering computations and analysis as required for statutory submission.
• Preparation of structural briefing, specification documents and tender documents.
• Attending technical/progress meeting with clients and inspections during construction
• Undertake detailed design in Civil and Building Structures
• Develop design concepts and construction methodologies and provide leadership in sectional project execution.
• To liaise with Client, Client’s Consultants, Contractor, and Authority to obtain design approval

About You

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Strong interest and passion in pursuing structural design engineering in a consultancy environment.
