Job summary

TYLin is a global infrastructure consulting and engineering firm seeking skilled civil/structural engineers for our Singapore office. You will lead detailed design work, prepare submissions, and coordinate with disciplines to deliver major projects, including building and civil infrastructures, with mentoring responsibilities for juniors.

Successful candidates bring a degree in civil/structural engineering, 5+ years of design experience, and proficiency with common design software.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognized University and eligible for registration with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).
• Minimum 5 years of design experience.
• Conversant with local codes and authority submission procedures.
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
• Good knowledge of common structural design software.
• Experience in building, geotechnical, infrastructure, rail or road projects (MRT, tunnels etc.).
• Strong project management and analytical skills.
• Able to work under pressure with good time management.

Responsibilities

• Lead in the preparation of detailed design reports, calculations and drawings.
• Prepare submissions to statutory agencies/ authorities.
• Lead in the coordination with other disciplines in preparation of design deliverables.
• Lead in preparing tender documentations.
• Participate in the tendering of projects.
• Participate in the successful delivery of projects.
• Training and mentoring juniors.
• Design management, coordination and project control on major projects.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
