Job summary

sggovterp is seeking a Senior/Executive/Project Engineer, Civil to lead contractor management for MRT line construction and enhancements. The role involves ensuring safety, quality, progress, and environmental stewardship, with planning of risks and cashflows and handling contract variations and payments.

Applicants should have strong civil engineering foundations, a minimum of four years’ hands-on experience with large-scale infrastructure projects, and familiarity with local codes.

Qualifications

• Knowledge in Civil Engineering with familiarity with the relevant local codes and transit construction.
• At least 4 years of hands-on experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Underground construction experience, particularly in deep excavation and tunnelling works will be an added advantage.
• Good appreciation of the constraints and interface requirements of civil and trackwork.
• Strong project management capabilities with demonstrated leadership experience.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Team player who is analytical, resourceful and results-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Lead role in managing Contractors in construction of new MRT Lines and enhancements to existing Lines.
• Oversee safety, quality, progress and environmental impact of Contractors’ works.
• Assist in planning and managing risks and cashflows of various contracts.
• Issue instructions and assess variations, payments and claims.
