Job summary

RecruitPedia Pte Ltd in Singapore is seeking a Senior Chemist to design and optimize oligonucleotide chemistry workflows and to develop enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis processes. The role involves analytical characterization of oligonucleotide products using HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, PAGE, CE, and UV/Vis, and documenting results in SOPs and lab records.

The ideal candidate will contribute to a multidisciplinary R&D environment within a deep-tech biotechnology setting.

Qualifications

• Experience with oligonucleotide chemistry workflows.
• Experience developing enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis reactions.
• Experience with analytical characterisation of oligonucleotides.
• Ability to document findings through SOPs and lab records.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise oligonucleotide chemistry workflows involving nucleotides, modified nucleotides, short oligonucleotides, linkers, protecting groups, and related substrates.
• Develop and troubleshoot enzymatic nucleic acid synthesis reactions, including reaction conditions, product formation, and impurity profiles.
• Conduct analytical characterisation of oligonucleotide products using techniques such as HPLC/UPLC, LC-MS, PAGE, CE, UV/Vis, or other relevant methods.
• Develop experimental protocols, analyse results, troubleshoot technical challenges, and document findings through SOPs, reports, and laboratory records.
