Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze freight markets, including vessel and cargo trades, to maximize team value and conduct short-term and spot chartering of dry bulk freight.
- Assist the Project Team in booking space for break bulk cargo or fixing MPP (Multipurpose Project) return legs.
- Ensure all transactions comply with group policies, oversee vessel P&L performance in consultation with Operations, and provide short-term market data and intelligence. Write reports and analyze freight fixtures against market conditions.
- Manage existing customer relationships, develop new business for dry bulk cargo, and maintain broker relationships. Support regional Sky Fusion Teams in engaging and attracting customers.
- Receive scheduling information from Operations to align vessel ETAs and fixtures, assist in supervising ships’ performance, and utilize freight knowledge for voyage calculations.
- Provide advisory services for contract reviews and commercial planning, and source, negotiate, and contract dry bulk cargo opportunities. Proficient in executing COA (Contract of Affreightment) terms.
- Proficient in using FFA (Forward Freight Agreements) hedging tools to ensure voyage profitability.
Key Qualifications:
- Relevant working experience in shipping, preferably as a multi-purpose vessels operator or in a commercial role
- Good international trade route experience, including cargo flow and ship supply; Possesses extensive client resources in dry bulk and industrial project logistics, along with broker contact resources
- Strong interpersonal skills to quickly establish relationships with clients, ship owners, and brokers
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- High self-motivation and a strong sense of responsibility
- Fluent in English
