Job Summary

As a Senior CDP / Junior Sous Chef, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the Resident Chef in overseeing kitchen operations across various sections. You will lead and guide junior team members in food preparation, ensure quality control, and contribute to the smooth execution of daily service and special events. This position is suited for someone with strong culinary skills, leadership potential, and a desire to grow in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and ensure consistency in food preparation, presentation, and quality across all sections

  • Lead mise en place and daily food production, ensuring readiness and efficiency

  • Monitor food wastage, assist with stock ordering, receiving, and inventory management

  • Conduct regular stock takes and assist in maintaining accurate inventory records

  • Collaborate with the Resident Chef to enhance kitchen workflow and operational efficiency

  • Uphold and enforce grooming, hygiene, and food safety standards across the kitchen team

  • Ensure cleanliness, proper handling, and maintenance of kitchen equipment and work areas

  • Mentor junior chefs and provide on-the-job training and feedback

  • Take charge in the absence of the Resident Chef or Sous Chef

  • Perform additional duties as assigned by senior management

Requirements

  • Positive attitude and proactive work approach

  • Energetic, cooperative, and maintains high personal hygiene
