Key Responsibilities:
Guide the Care Programme Coordinators to care for the well-being and safety of elderly clients in the Senior Care Centre
Coordinate the planning and conducting of structured and interactive programme activities for the elderly clients
Assist in serving pre-packed medication
Assist in client health monitoring and assessment
Aid in meal preparation and serving
Update and assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Initiate Care Plan (ICP)
Provide dysphagia care and EatSafe protocol
Support clients in distress including persons living with dementia
Assist in the Modified Barthel Index (MBI) assessment
Perform basic Activities of Daily Living (ADL)
Assist with Passive Range of Motion exercises (PROM)
Perform escort duties and build rapport with clients and their family members
Assist in cleaning and disinfecting tasks
Participate in and support centre events
Job Holder Requirements:
Advanced/Higher/Certificate in Community & Social Service [Senior Care Services] and good “O” level [minimum 3 credits] or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support [Nursing care]
Competency in eldercare service with at least 3 years working experience in an eldercare institution
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Possess a passionate disposition to care for elderly clients
Be able to engage comfortably with elderly clients
Be able to prepare and conduct care programmes for seniors; e.g. daily news chats/cooking therapy/art & craft/singing sessions/dancing, reminiscence therapy; etc.
