Job summary

CROWN WORLDWIDE SINGAPORE is seeking an experienced Senior CAD Technician / Technical Designer to join its Singapore Design & Build team. The role focuses on developing coordinated technical documentation for workplace fit-out projects, translating concepts into buildable, cost-conscious solutions.

You will collaborate with Interior Designers, Project Managers, contractors and consultants from test-fit through construction completion, ensuring high standards and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of technical documentation experience focused on commercial workplace interiors and office fit-out projects.
• Proven experience producing construction documentation for workplace projects from design development through construction.

Responsibilities

• Produce coordinated documentation packages for workplace and commercial interior fit-out projects, including plans, elevations, sections, reflected ceiling plans, details and schedules.
• Develop test-fit layouts and workplace planning drawings from concept sketches and design direction.
• Translate design intent into practical, buildable and cost-conscious technical solutions.
• Work closely with Interior Designers, Project Managers, contractors and consultants throughout project delivery.
• Coordinate technical information, shop drawings, specifications and consultant documentation.
• Identify and resolve technical, detailing and buildability issues during design development and construction documentation stages.
• Maintain high documentation standards, quality control and drawing coordination across multiple projects.
• Support projects through tender, construction and site implementation phases.
• Contribute to documentation standards, templates and project delivery processes.

We are seeking an experienced Senior CAD Technician / Technical Designer to join our Singapore-based Design & Build team.

This role is specifically suited to candidates with a strong background in commercial workplace interiors and Design & Build project delivery. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing coordinated technical documentation for workplace fit-out projects, translating design concepts into practical, buildable and commercially viable solutions.

Working closely with Interior Designers, Project Managers, contractors and consultants, you will play a key role in delivering projects from test-fit and design development through tender, construction and completion.

This position is best suited to a proactive and technically accomplished individual who thrives in a fast-paced Design & Build environment and is comfortable balancing design intent, buildability, programme and delivery requirements.

What The Role Involves

• Diploma or degree in Interior Design, Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• 8+ years of technical documentation experience focused on commercial workplace interiors and office fit-out projects.
• Demonstrated experience working within a Design &Build, workplace design or commercial interior fit-out environment.
• Proven experience producing construction documentation for workplace projects from design development through construction.
• Strong understanding of workplace design, interior detailing, materials, finishes and construction methodologies.
• Advanced AutoCAD capability and strong technical drawing production skills.
• Ability to rapidly develop test-fit plans and workplace layouts from conceptual design information.
• Experience coordinating documentation with contractors, MEP consultants, specialist consultants and suppliers.
• Solid understanding of construction sequencing, buildability and on-site implementation requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects while maintaining accuracy and quality.
