Job summary

HSBC Holdings plc in Singapore is seeking a Senior Buyer on a 2-year contract to lead transactional procurement for vendor contracts and onboarding. Responsibilities

• Act as the primary Sourcing point of contact for vendor matters, incl. contract queries and issue resolution.
• Develop stakeholder engagements with business units for vendor onboarding and ongoing management.
• Identify and manage risks affecting delivery timelines of the transaction.
• Ensure contract lifecycle is managed end-to-end.
• Guide contract owners on onboarding processes and ongoing obligations.
• Partner with Legal, Regulatory, Operational Risk, Security and other SMEs to review merger-related contracts and mitigate HSBC risks.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Senior Buyer (2 year contract).

In this role you will:

• Act as the primary Sourcing point of contact for all vendor-related matters, including contract queries, commercial discussions, and issue resolution.
• Develop strong stakeholder engagements with different business units for the identification, on-boarding and on-going management of vendors
• Identify and manage risks that would impact the overall delivery timelines of the transaction
• Ensure contract lifecycle is managed
• Guide the contract owners on the end-to-end vendor onboarding processes and on-going obligations.
• Partner closely with SMEs (Legal, Regulatory Compliance, Operational Risk, Security, Fraud Risk, etc.) to ensure merger-related vendor contracts are reviewed appropriately and HSBC risks are identified, assessed, and mitigated.

To be successful you will need:

• Proven experience in transactional procurement and sourcing, ideally within the financial services industry, including contract review work supporting business change (e.g., mergers, entity consolidation, or restructuring).
• Strong understanding of contract terms and commercial risk (e.g., liability, termination, SLAs, pricing, data/security, regulatory clauses) with the ability to challenge and improve supplier positions.
• Demonstrated win-win negotiation capability, able to deliver outcomes under tight timelines and with limited resources, while maintaining appropriate procurement governance and controls.
