A leading electronics firm in Singapore is seeking a Procurement Specialist to manage material readiness for production and support cost optimization initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years in purchasing, strong negotiation skills, and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office. This role involves evaluating suppliers and ensuring compliance with procurement policies.
· MRP Execution & Procurement Planning
Analyze system-generated MRP to issue PRs/POs based on factory forecast requirements, ensuring timely material availability.
· Inventory Management
Maintain in-house inventory in compliance with company policy to support production continuity and cost control.
· Production & NPI Support
Coordinate material readiness for mass production, NPI offloads, and engineering/sample requests.
· Risk Management
Proactively identify and mitigate procurement-related risks to prevent production line-down scenarios.
· Cost Optimization
Drive cost-down initiatives through negotiations, benchmarking, alternate sourcing, and value engineering proposals.
· Supplier Negotiation & Management
Negotiate commercial terms including MOQ, standard pricing, lead time, Incoterms, and freight conditions to achieve favorable agreements.
· Quarterly Business Review (QBR)
Conduct QBRs for key raw materials used in production to monitor performance and alignment with business objectives.
· Global Indirect Procurement Management
Oversee global sourcing of MRO items, general consumables, and administrative office supplies across multiple factories.
· e-Procurement Platform Integration
Lead the integration and communication between China regional factories and China Resources Group's e-procurement mall for centralized procurement compliance.
· Data Analysis & Cost Control
Collect and analyze global non-production procurement data to build a centralized price database and drive cost-saving initiatives.
· Headquarters Procurement Support
Manage comprehensive procurement activities for SCPM and Shanghai HQs, supporting cross-functional departmental needs.
· Supplier Evaluation & Performance Monitoring
Develop and manage a supplier performance evaluation framework for non-production suppliers at the headquarters level.
· Process Governance
Manage SOP documentation and procedures related to indirect procurement and ensure compliance with internal control standards.
· Ad Hoc Projects & Assignments
Complete special tasks and procurement-related projects as assigned by management.
Required Experience and Qualifications:
· Minimum a Diploma in Engineering/ Business Administration.
· Minimum 5 years’ working experience in purchasing preferably in the electronics/semiconductor/sub-con sector.
· Diploma in Material Management will be an added advantage
SAP/MRP knowledge/Microsoft Excel, Power point, Words etc.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
· Proactive and independent
· Excellent communication (Bilingual in English and Chinese) and organizational skills.
· Ability to multitask and adapt to changing priorities.
