Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Managing supplier relationships, resolving issues, and monitoring supplier performance - On Time Delivery & Quality Metric.
- Negotiation: Negotiating prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers.
- Order Placement: Placing orders with approved suppliers based on requisitions and expediting critical materials.
- Vendor Analysis: Developing reports for vendor performance, purchase volumes, and on-time delivery.
- Compliance: Ensuring that procurements adhere to quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Planning -
- Demand Planning: Developing and implementing demand planning strategies to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts. Collaborate with Planning & Customer Support team to understand demand fluctuations and adjust planning accordingly.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring inventory levels and ensuring adequate stock to meet production needs.
- Coordination: Coordinating with the logistics team to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Data Management: Maintaining material, supplier, and planning system data in MRP/ERP systems.
- Reportings and KPIs Developing reports on inventory levels, stockouts, and other planning-related metrics (OTD, Push Outs & Pull Ins)
Education
- Bachelor\'s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Experience
- Between 5-10 Year(s) or above relevant working experience in manufacturing environment.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Experienced in ERP system (Navision, SAP etc.).
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Positive attitude, self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team,
- Experience in purchasing technical commodity like machining items/sheet metal parts will be an added advantage.
