Job description

The Senior Business Manager, will support the execution of business planning and analysis to deliver the Affiliate’s business goals. This person will act as FP&A leader and advisor to provide guidance and support to Business Planning team in the market to ensure estimate accuracy and their work align with affiliate and brand requirements.

Key Roles and Responsponsibilities:

  • A strong business partner to lead the affiliate planning process, including Long Range Plan, Annual Budgets and Monthly Rolling Estimate and liaise with regional finance to align on business planning, analysis and strategic priorities.
  • Supervise and Coordinate with brand Business Managers in completing strategic planning, budgeting and monthly estimate process for the market.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Brand and Demand Planning teams to ensure estimates are prepared based on realistic assumptions while proactively identify and address risk and opportunities.
  • Lead cross brand and cross channel deep dive business analytics to support decision making , drive business growth, expansion and transformation, and optimize investment effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Provide variance analysis in monthly management report and drive accurate and insightful sales and P&L performance analysis in business review meetings.
  • Support management in performing cross brand and cross channel business analysis to drive standardization and optimization and leverage best practices across brands and functions for the market.
  • Conduct productivity analyses, category mix and performance, and other key performance metrics to maximize investment opportunities. Provide strategic analysis to the affiliate management team and recommendations for improvements.
  • Take the leading role on budget and rolling estimate process for Corporate Store, Indirect and functional department expenses, as well as Capital Expenditure.
  • Provide direct support for brand planning activities during periods of resource constraints and new brand launch, ensuring continuity and alignment with business target and objectives.
  • Lead projects and initiatives to enhance financial planning process, reporting simplification and system optimization.
  • Focus on strategic priorities /emerging areas that are critical to the business (E.g. FSS stores, Online, Omni-channel, Digital, Creative)

Job Requirements:

  • Strategic thinker and strong business acumen. Proven track record in being a finance business partner.
  • Broad understanding of the annual budget and estimate processes.
  • Sound analytical mind with good understanding of business processes and a strong business mindset/savvy. Able to work in a very dynamic and highly competitive industry.
  • Able to coach team member and drive excellent team-work.
  • Strong interpersonal skill as the role requires extensive interaction, communication, and cooperation from all functions in the affiliate and regional offices.
  • Acquainted with computer software, knowledge in SAP, OneStream, Hyperion, excellent Excel skills.
  • Attention to details, very well organized and demonstrates learning agility.
  • Self-motivated, commitment to strive for excellence in execution and results oriented.
  • Flexible and strong interest in high volume multi-brands retail business.
  • Online business knowledge would be a plus.
  • At least 10 years relevant experience in multi-national FMCG and retail industry in which at least 3 years in managerial level.
  • University Degree in Finance / Accounting.
  • Fluency in English. Other Asian languages would be advantageous.
