About the Role:
The primary responsibility will be driving growth by developing and nurturing key relationships with clients, suppliers, and other stakeholders both external and internal, such as directors, general managers, and departments. Primary Job Scope
- Lead and manage a specific vertical team.
- Create development plans, forecast sales targets, and growth projections.
- Meet potential clients and build positive relationships; implement sales strategies aligned with company targets.
- Develop and implement sales activities within the responsible area under leadership.
- Identify market opportunities through meetings, networking, and other channels.
- Meet or exceed sales targets and complete assigned tasks independently.
- Maintain existing customers and establish detailed customer files.
- Manage Accounts Receivable according to company policies.
Specific Requirement Activities
- Regularly visit customers, attend QBR/MBR meetings, and maintain relationships.
- Perform sales calls to new and potential customers on the target list.
- Conduct market research to identify new potential customers.
- Propose solutions to overcome challenges and secure new and additional business across Air, Ocean, and Cross-border trucking.
- Report irregularities promptly to superiors.
- Troubleshoot issues, investigate root causes with operations teams, and propose countermeasures, discussing details with customers.
- Settle outstanding accounts receivable based on agreed terms.
- Manage RFQ processes and prepare rate proposals for both Air and Ocean businesses.
- Proactively share market information with existing and target customers.
- Input sales progress into CRM system within designated timelines.
- Expand Singapore export/import business (Air and Ocean) and manage third-party offshore business if applicable.
- Coordinate closely with overseas offices to share information and strengthen business relationships.
- Create monthly sales reports.
- Participate in customer visits with sales team members as needed.
- Hold regular team meetings to review sales status and provide guidance.
Competencies
- Diploma/Degree in Freight Forwarding, Logistics & Supply Chain Management or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a senior sales manager in the freight forwarding industry.
- Leadership experience in managing a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications.
- Experience in profitability analysis, reporting, and presentation preparation.
- Strong negotiation and presentation skills.
