ABOUT BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT IN UNILEVER INTERNATIONAL

  • We build market positions in white spaces by identify new opportunities, developing, defining, negotiating and nurturing strong business relationships. We own the business’ P&L end-to-end, partner with customers, distributors and internal cross-functional teams to manage and grow existing businesses, to deliver growth through flawless execution of projects.

THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT BECAUSE ....

  • You’ll lead the business across the various geographies and guide the seeding growth strategy for the cluster to deliver growth and profitability targets;
  • You’ll drive the strategic direction and delivery of UI in Singapore in line with overall business strategy and purpose.

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES WOULD BE ...

Business Development & Prospecting

  • Proactively screen potential businesses through market analysis, deal requirements, potential and financial analysis: provide recommendations if any
  • Conducting joint business planning with customers/distributors, including distribution reach, pricing and volumes
  • Leading end-to-end process from idea to launch with customers and internal teams

Customer Selection and Appointment

  • Conduct comprehensive research and credit worthiness checks to identify and select suitable business distributors

Establishing and Executing Business Plans

  • Develop and manage business plan processes and speed-to-market for new product distribution, including cost-effective distribution cost models and customer differentiation strategy across locations
  • Establish networks for new product launches with supply chain team and alignment with Category team on launches

Tracking and Monitoring Performance

  • Tracking and managing of key business metrics and KPIs across marketing and trade activities
  • Conduct reviews on broad spectrum of topics

Stakeholder Management

  • Lead and align cross functional teams to effectively manage projects; partner other functions to obtain support where necessary
  • Collaborate with local OpCo for synergies

  • Minimum 8 - 10 experience in FMCG industry in operational key account management, marketing, business or finance partnering roles (preferably in Customer Development)
  • Experience in international trade and capability building
  • Experience in [technical skills - e.g. SAP]
  • Experience working in cross-functional teams within a matrix environment both F2F and virtually
