The core mission is to develop Delta’s new capabilities by synergizing technology novelties coupled with sustainable competitiveness in the ever-changing climate.

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Business Development expert with a strong background in biotechnology to join our growing team. This role is critical in transforming our proprietary point-of-care (POC) diagnostic prototypes, reagent products, and lyophilization services into commercially viable offerings. The ideal candidate will drive business growth through market development, customer acquisition, strategic partnerships, and support cross-functional execution from product development to market launch.

Job Responsibilities

Business Development:

  • Research and identify potential markets, customers, and partnerships to expand business opportunities;
  • Conduct market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscapes, and potential areas for growth;
  • Develop and implement strategies to engage and convert prospects into customers;
  • Manage and drive the sales pipeline from lead generation to deal closure.

Client Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients to ensure long-term partnerships;
  • Understand customer needs and tailor solutions to address pain points and business challenges;
  • Deliver compelling proposals, presentations, and negotiations to win new business.

Strategy and Market Development:

  • Develop and execute go-to-market strategies, sales plans, and tactics aligned with company objectives;
  • Collaborate with the R&D, product teams to create compelling product value propositions and launch plans;
  • Create business cases and financial models to assess the commercial viability of new products, services, or business opportunities;
  • Identify new channels and sales opportunities for growth, including B2B/B2C partnerships, product offerings, and distribution strategies;
  • Work with the marketing team to create targeted campaigns and promotional activities that align with business development goals.

Sales Leadership and Execution:

  • Set clear objectives and KPIs for business development efforts, tracking progress and performance;
  • Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities to senior management.

Negotiation and Deal Closure:

  • Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements with potential clients or partners;
  • Ensure alignment of pricing, terms, and conditions with company policies and market standards;
  • Close new business deals, managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to final agreement.

Collaboration and Cross-Functional Teamwork:

  • Collaborate with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure alignment between business development goals and product/service offerings;
  • Provide insights and feedback from customers and prospects to guide product development and marketing strategies;
  • Develop pricing strategies, contract terms, and revenue models;
  • Lead distribution, and positioning strategies to maximize product adoption and profitability.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Life Science, preferably in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related bioengineering background or a related field;
  • Proven track record of at least 2-5 years in business development, technology commercialization, or related roles in in vitro diagnosis and biotech industry preferred;
  • Prior experience in sales is preferred;
  • In-depth knowledge of in vitrodiagnosis and biotech technologies, market trends, and industry players is preferred;
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders;
  • Has strong personal belief and self-confidence in his/her ability to effectively communicate technical capabilities in area of focus;
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, innovative thinking, and a passion for cutting-edge technology;
  • Experience in working with cross-functional teams and leading collaborative projects; and
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to emerging challenges.
