About Quan Shui Wet Market
Quan Shui Wet Market is a third-generation family business blending tradition with innovation. From wet market stalls to a leading online grocery platform, we are now expanding into physical stores, B2B sales, experiential events, and developing a proprietary F&B line built on our bestselling handmade dim sum.
As we enter an exciting phase of growth — including F&B concept launches, new marketplace channels, and high-potential corporate partnerships — we’re looking for a commercially savvy, analytical, and entrepreneurial business development lead who can help shape and drive new sales channels, partnerships, and go-to-market strategies.
This role has a direct promotion track to Assistant Sales & Marketing Manager for candidates who demonstrate strategic thinking, executional drive, and leadership capabilities.
Your Role
You will lead the business development arm of the company — identifying and securing new sales opportunities across B2C and B2B channels. While you won’t need to run day-to-day marketing operations, you’ll work closely with our marketing lead to align messaging, promotions, and brand strategy with revenue growth goals.
You’ll be especially instrumental in launching and scaling our handmade dim sum line and setting the groundwork for future F&B concepts.
Key Responsibilities
New Channel Development & Growth
Online Channels
- Explore and activate new online sales channels (e.g., Amazon, TikTok Shop, corporate marketplaces, food service resellers).
- Manage and optimise performance for new channels while mentoring team members handling existing channels (Shopee, Lazada, GrabMart, Brand.com).
- Provide guidance on listing optimisation, pricing strategy, and promotions for all online channels
Physical Channels (B2C & B2B)
- Identify and execute growth opportunities in physical retail (consignment, specialty grocers, pop-ups, fairs).
- Develop strategies for both B2C (direct-to-consumer events, pop-ups) and B2B (bulk orders, wholesale, partnerships).
F&B & Concept Expansion
- Play a strategic oversight and mentor role on the F&B expansion pipeline, currently led by another BD executive.
- Validate feasibility and profitability of new F&B concepts (cloud kitchens, hot food kiosks, experiential events).
- Ensure alignment of F&B development with broader business goals (e.g., ability to support corporate catering, large-scale events).
Provide data-driven recommendations on SKUs, pricing, and ROI
B2B & Corporate Sales
- Lead in generating a comprehensive B2B product catalogue and converting it into a professional sales kit for corporate clients.
- Develop systems and trackers to monitor lead generation, follow-ups, and closing rates.
- Drive acquisition of corporate accounts for bulk orders, gifting solutions, and recurring partnerships.
Collaborate with marketing on customised B2B proposals and decks for client presentations
Analytics, Reporting & Forecasting
- Track and report performance across all channels (online, offline, B2B).
- Create dashboards for revenue, margins, and sales growth trends.
- Forecast sales by channel and evaluate ROI for events, activations, and campaigns.
Recommend areas to double down on or pivot based on data insights.
Team Collaboration & Leadership Track
- Work closely with marketing to ensure alignment of sales and promotional efforts.
- Mentor junior BD staff and offer commercial guidance to marketing team members.
- Develop SOPs for BD functions and client account management.
- Prepare for eventual leadership of a combined Sales & Marketing team as Assistant Manager.
Who We’re Looking For
- Experience: 4–6 years in business development, sales, or partnerships (FMCG, F&B, retail, or e-commerce preferred).
- Proven track record of opening and scaling new sales channels.
- Strong with numbers — data-driven and comfortable with analytics, forecasting, and reporting.
- Cross-functional experience with marketing, ops, and product teams.
- Commercially creative with the ability to identify and size up new opportunities.
Bonus:
- Experience in F&B planning, events, or concept launches.
- Passion for food and heritage culinary concepts.
