A leading food manufacturer in Singapore is looking for a Senior Business Development Executive to support product commercialization. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and 3–5 years of experience in business development within the FMCG sector. Responsibilities include coordinating product launches, maintaining customer relationships, and conducting market research to ensure product success.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive, outgoing, and detail-oriented Senior Business Development Executive to support the end-to-end commercialization of new products — from internal coordination to customer presentations and successful market launches. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and preferably experience in FMCG, particularly within the convenience retail segment.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate with internal teams (R&D, QA, Production, Procurement) to ensure timely and effective product development and launch readiness
Maintain strong relationships with customers to support ongoing product success, including presenting new product proposals, managing feedback, and ensuring timely follow-up
Source new products, including trading items, and manage the full evaluation process — covering sample testing, pricing, packaging, and commercial feasibility
Build and maintain relationships with both existing and new suppliers to ensure responsiveness, reliability, and alignment with project requirements
Conduct market research, including competitor analysis, pricing benchmarks, packaging trends, and product insights
Monitor broader FMCG and food trends to support internal awareness and future planning
Track, manage, and support the execution of multiple ongoing projects with attention to detail, timelines, and business priorities
Provide ad hoc support to the Business Development team as needed
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Science, or a related field
3–5 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles, preferably in FMCG or food manufacturing
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
Commercially aware, self-driven, and proactive in identifying and solving business challenges
Ability to analyze market data and trends and translate them into actionable insights
Strong multi-tasking and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel, for reporting and presentations
Familiarity with the convenience retail segment is a strong advantage
