The Opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a Senior Business Analyst (1 year contract) to be based in Singapore, to join our Technology Team. Reporting to the Technology Program Director, the Senior Business Analyst works closely with the business and other stakeholders in defining scope and requirements, refining business processes, and designing functional aspects of solutions in alignment with business needs.

The Senior Business Analyst will support the Project Manager(s) in completion of their project tasks and deliverables and be a key contributor to the BA capability at iNova and proactively share knowledge with other Business Analysts.

In addition, within the pharmaceuticals industry, systems which are associated with the supply of product must be maintained against a set of guidelines known as GAMP. The process of ensuring our systems meet the requirements of these guidelines is called computer system validation (CSV). The Senior Business Analyst will coordinate and assist with the ongoing maintenance of this set of processes. No experience in this area is necessary beyond a base understanding of SDLC and good project management.

Key Accountabilities

Business Analysis

  1. Engage and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders at all levels, including the leadership team and function directors.
  2. Understand and model business processes, identifying opportunities for process improvements.
  3. Define project scope and gather, validate, and document business requirements.
  4. Propose solutions that meet business requirements, considering issues, risks, benefits, and business impacts.
  5. The role will primarily focus on finance and supply chain optimization projects to improve business processes and the SAP ECC system, as well as Operations excellence projects such as master data harmonisation.
  6. Support continuous improvement activities for the Business Analysis capability at iNova.
  7. Conduct data analysis to support business decisions and identify trends, patterns, and insights.
  8. Facilitate workshops and meetings to gather requirements, present findings, and discuss solutions with stakeholders.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation such as business process models, use cases, and user stories.
  10. Collaborate with IT teams to ensure technical solutions align with business needs and requirements.
  11. Develop business benefits, business cases and finance requests for the Group PMO Finance Committee.

Computer System Validation
  1. Apply the Computer System Validation (CSV) operating model and documents templates to all applicable projects.
  2. Deliver validation plans and the defined documents for new in-scope projects.
  3. Appropriate training will be provided on the iNova CSV operating model to be able to successfully apply the process.
  4. Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for computer system validation.

Other Ad-Hoc Activities
  1. These may include major project management/support or operational initiatives with limited to no direction from the manager.


About You

Education / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field.

Experience / Skills:

  • 10+ years' experience as a Business Analyst.
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder management.
  • Confidently led requirements development sessions and workshops in a software context.
  • Developed project documentation that reflects requirements i.e., functional requirements specifications or requirements traceability matrixes.
  • Taken ownership of end-to-end processes from engaging the stakeholder for the initial session to deliverable/output signoff.

  • Exceptional interpersonal and general communication skills. The Senior Business Analyst must be able to decipher technical jargon into language that is understood by the stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaborate effectively as part of the team.
  • Ability to apply critical thinking to navigate through problems that are difficult and often complex.
  • Ability to make informed decisions using available information.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability and willingness to rapidly learn and take advantage of new concepts, business models, and technologies.
