A leading company is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to enhance supply chain practices and drive strategic initiatives. This role involves aligning business units with corporate objectives, investigating operational issues, and collaborating with stakeholders across various functions. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 10 years of experience in business analysis and accounting, with a proactive mindset and strong interpersonal skills. Occasional travel to Singapore or other regional offices may be required.
The Senior Business Analyst partners with regional operations and business units to align supply chain practices with strategic goals. The role focuses on identifying improvement opportunities, enhancing processes across logistics, warehousing, and key account management, and co-creating solutions with customers. It also supports the Regional Finance Manager in driving value through strategic initiatives and process enhancements.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & Execution
Coordinate strategic planning processes to ensure business units and country teams are aligned with corporate objectives.
Monitor performance against monthly, quarterly, and annual targets to ensure all KPIs are tracked and achieved.
Identify potential performance gaps with business and regional leaders, and support the development of corrective action plans.
Conduct scenario analysis to determine the best course of action to address performance shortfalls.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Collaborate with local and regional stakeholders across business units, operations, and corporate functions to analyze performance, improve cost efficiency, and manage risks and opportunities.
Project Participation
Contribute to cross-business or cross-functional projects as needed.
Requirements Gathering
Define business needs and communicate them effectively to relevant stakeholders.
Operational Issue Resolution
Investigate operational and support issues across the supply chain and develop detailed business analysis, improvement proposals, and solutions for management consideration.
Process Improvement
Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance business performance and operational efficiency, with a focus on continuous improvement.
Performance Monitoring
Work with operational subject matter experts and country leaders to review and enhance logistics service delivery and KPIs, providing timely insights such as variance analysis and margin reviews.
Business & Financial Analysis
Conduct detailed financial and operational analyses to support business decisions, value propositions, CAPEX planning, acquisitions, and management reviews.
Pricing Strategy
Support the development and evaluation of pricing strategies in collaboration with business and country teams to optimize profitability.
Sales Metrics Development
Co-develop sales performance metrics with country teams, including pricing and cost structure alignment.
Key Account Collaboration
Partner with key accounts to uncover new business opportunities and support growth within assigned verticals.
Reporting & Insights
Prepare, consolidate, and review reports on operational and strategic targets, budget performance, and progress updates for key stakeholders.
Industry Trends & Innovation
Stay updated on supply chain trends and innovations to support strategic and operational direction-setting.
Ad Hoc Duties
Perform other related duties as assigned or required.
Job requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Business Management, or a related discipline.
At least 10 years of experience in accounting, financial planning, and business analysis.
Hands-on experience with Oracle and other ERP systems; familiarity with BI tools such as Tableau and Power BI is highly advantageous.
Self-motivated and results-driven individual with a proactive mindset.
Quick learner with strong business acumen and the ability to communicate insights with commercial relevance.
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines with strong organizational skills.
Collaborative team player who works effectively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of engaging with stakeholders across different levels and functions.
Experience in e-commerce operations, with understanding of best practices in serving both B2B and B2C customers.
Comfortable working closely with senior management and decision-makers.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with advanced data presentation and reporting capabilities.
Based in Shah Alam, Selangor, Malaysia
Required Travel: Occasional travel to Singapore or other regional offices, as required
