Job summary

CTES CONSULTING PTE. LTD. is partnering with our client to recruit a Full Time Lecturer (Life Science) in Singapore. This is a 1-year contract role, with potential renewal or conversion based on performance and organisational headcount.

The ideal candidate will prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops and lab sessions, assess student progress, and contribute to programme development while supporting staff and advising students on academic opportunities. Shift hours may be required.

Qualifications

• PhD in Life Science or equivalent.
• Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work shift hours, including late evenings and weekends where required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct lectures, tutorials, workshops, and laboratory sessions in Life Science.
• Monitor students’ academic progress through appropriate assessment strategies and provide learning support where required.
• Administer the setting and marking of coursework and examinations, including quality review of examination papers within the area of specialisation.
• Conduct objective assessments for examination appeal cases.
• Support the management and development of academic staff, including review of teaching assignments and classroom observations where required.
• Advise students on academic performance and career opportunities.
• Contribute to the review, design, and development of programmes and modules to maintain curriculum relevance and quality.
• Develop course materials for new modules and prepare course or module review reports for internal and external programmes.
• Support preliminary module mapping for new programme development.
• Contribute to the development of intellectual property for the School.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as required.

• At least a pass at GCE ‘O’ Level or equivalent in the language medium of the programme or module.
• More than 1 year of relevant work experience.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Willing to work shift hours, including late evenings and weekends where required.
