Job summary

MSI GLOBAL PRIVATE LIMITED is seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Backend Developer / Test Automation Engineer to join our Back Office Development Team. You will design, develop and support high‑volume enterprise AFC applications, collaborating with business users, architects, QA, DevOps, and project managers across the SDLC.

Responsibilities include building RESTful APIs, databases, integrations and automated tests; maintaining CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins and Git; applying DevSecOps

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT, engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on enterprise software development, backend development, or test automation.
• Strong experience with Java/JEE, Spring, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, JDBC, and SQL.
• Experience with relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MySQL, or IBM DB2.
• Experience with messaging technologies such as JMS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ, or Kafka.
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, and DevSecOps/SAST tools.
• Experience in Linux/UNIX and Windows environments.
• Experience with web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, and frameworks such as Angular or React is an advantage.
• Experience with AI coding assistants such as GitHub Copilot or Claude Code is preferred.
• Experience with microservices, Kubernetes, AWS/Azure, and cloud-native technologies is an advantage.
• Experience in AFC, public transportation, EMV/payment processing, or PCI DSS is highly advantageous.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Good written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Analyze requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain enterprise applications and backend services.
• Develop RESTful APIs, database applications, system integrations, and messaging-based solutions.
• Develop automated functional, API, integration, regression, and performance tests.
• Perform performance and load testing using tools such as JMeter.
• Participate in SIT, UAT, production deployment, troubleshooting, and application support.
• Perform root cause analysis and resolve issues across applications and data stores.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Git, and related DevOps tools.
• Apply DevSecOps practices, including code quality and security scanning.
• Prepare SDLC documentation including requirements, architecture/design specifications, test plans/reports, deployment documents, and operation manuals.
• Contribute to software modernization, microservices, cloud migration, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot and Claude Code to improve productivity.
• Collaborate effectively with technical and business stakeholders across multiple projects.
