Job summary

Oracle is seeking a Senior Autonomous Database Engineer in Singapore to define and deploy autonomous database services with focus on architecture, operations, capacity planning, performance, deployment, and release engineering. You will work across cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable cloud database platforms.

Ideal candidates have deep Oracle Database experience, Linux expertise, automation scripting in Python or shell, and hands-on cloud platform experience (OCI/AWS/Azure/GCP).

Qualifications

• Advanced proficiency in Oracle Database technologies (RAC, Data Guard, ASM, RMAN, performance tuning).
• Expertise in Oracle Engineered Systems and subsystems for deployment, optimization and maintenance.
• Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware/software issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Strong Linux operations knowledge (RHEL, OEL) including system administration.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of implementation and production operations of core system platform solutions.
• Respond to production deficiencies by building automation, self-healing, and real-time monitoring.
• Contribute to development of platform services including architecture, provisioning, configuration, deployment and support.
• Collaborate with distributed teams to prototype new database platform services.
• Stay informed about cloud infrastructure stacks and drive process improvements.
