Job summary

EXCELTECH COMPUTERS PTE. LTD. seeks an Automation Tester to develop and maintain automated test scripts using Watermelon or Cypress. You will collaborate with developers and QA to craft test strategies, execute tests, and improve frameworks for better coverage and reliability.

You will validate batch jobs, perform Oracle database checks, and contribute to CI/CD practices in an Agile/Scrum environment. Knowledge of Postman or Swagger is a plus, along with Docker familiarity.

Qualifications

• Preferably 5+ years as a Software Tester using Watermelon and Cypress.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript or Python.
• Experience with web technologies including HTML and CSS.
• Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration tools (e.g., Jenkins).
• Solid understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Experience testing batch jobs and Oracle database validation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Watermelon or Cypress.
• Collaborate with software development and QA teams to define test strategies.
• Execute automated tests to validate software functionality, identify defects, and ensure quality deliverables.
• Enhance automation frameworks to improve test coverage, efficiency, and reliability.
• Analyze test results and provide meaningful insights to stakeholders regarding software quality.
• Participate in code reviews and promote coding standards and best practices.
• Stay updated on automation trends and tools and incorporate relevant practices into testing processes.
• Contribute to testing of cutover, rollback strategies and post-deployment verification.
• Perform Oracle database validation to verify data integrity and transformation logic.
• Validate batch jobs including scheduling validation, error handling, and output verification.
• Familiarity with Windows Server operations relevant to testing.
• Support continuous improvement of SDLC through automation.
