Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Automation Testing, ideally in financial services.

Job description

Position Summary

Deliver feature-rich, technology-driven, robust and quality software applications and systems. Work closely with the business and tech teams to drive communication, understanding and consent of requirements and acceptance criteria in all aspects of the digital platform and software systems.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Regularly identify and select test cases or flows to be automated
  • Create, enhance, debug and execute automated test cases
  • Contribute to the existing automation frameworks and identify and potentially resolve/implement any pain points or other improvement opportunities
  • Regularly analyze and assess automation scripts executed in the pipelines to ensure they remain relevant and effective
  • Monitor automation pipelines and address any test failures
  • Identify areas lacking test coverage or that are covered manually and work directly or indirectly in having those scripted, whenever applicable
  • Support various testing phases leveraging automation, such as NFR, SIT and UAT
  • Work closely with with PMs, development teams and other QAs to define testing strategies and ensure alignment
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the monitoring and discovery of issues
  • Participate in defect triage and/or assist in root cause analysis

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Automation testing experience. Ideally within a financial services context;
  • All around banking business domains, experience in modules like KYC/AML, client onboarding, custodian and / or digital transformation would be an advantage (Not a MUST)
  • Having a solid knowledge and/or a strong interest in FinTech and Blockchain Technology;
  • Fluent English, excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Must be a good team player, proactive, self-motivated, and able to multitask;
  • Possess a start-up and Agile mentality and able to work in a fast-paced environment;
  • Bachelor’s degree Computer Science or related disciplines, equivalent combination of education and related experience;
  • Ability to grasp requirements/spec without detailed documented stories and then derive the quality of deliverable.
  • Possess a start-up and agile mentality and able to work in a fast-paced environment with little to no supervision/guidance
  • Technical skills
  • Extensive hands-on experience using, automation tools such as Playwright (preferred), Selenium Grid/WebDriver or Cypress
  • Experience with API automation test development
  • Experience with source code management tools such as Git/Gitlab.
  • Understanding basic concepts and best approaches to Continuous delivery (CD) or Continuous Integration (CI).
  • Intermediate SQL knowledge, Postgres database validation testing skills.
  • (Good to have) Knowledge and hands-on experience with performance testing tools, particularly K6, is preferred. Ability to design, implement, and analyze load and stress tests for applications and services.
  • (Good to have) Knowledge of mobile automation testing solutions, such as Maestro
  • (Good to have) Capable of writing and executing manual test cases and, also ability to find defects.
