Job summary

EPAM Singapore seeks a Test Automation Engineer (Cypress) to build reliable automation for web and API flows supporting financial supervision use cases. You will work in an agile team to strengthen test coverage, validate batch jobs, and support release cutovers with confident go/no-go signals.

You will use Cypress or Watermelon, JavaScript or Python, and CI tools like Git and Jenkins, collaborating with engineers and QA to improve automation frameworks and ensure data integrity in Oracle.

Qualifications

• Hands-on UI test automation using Cypress or Watermelon.
• Proficiency in JavaScript or Python for test development.
• API testing with Postman or Swagger and validation approaches.
• Experience with Oracle database validation and SQL checks.
• Familiarity with Git and Jenkins for CI/CD workflows.
• Understanding of testing practices, defect management, and risk assessment.
• Experience in Agile or Scrum teams with shared ownership.
• Clear communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated tests for web applications using Cypress or Watermelon.
• Partner with engineers and QA to define test strategy and coverage for user journeys and APIs.
• Run automated test suites, triage failures and raise clear defects with actionable detail.
• Improve automation frameworks, coding standards and shared utilities through code reviews.
• Validate batch job execution, scheduling behavior, error handling and output file.
• Perform Oracle database checks to confirm data integrity and transformation outcomes.
• Support cutover and rollback activities with smoke tests and verification steps.
• Carry out Windows Server testing support including service checks and environment configuration.
