Job summary

ResMed (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd (MY) is seeking a Senior Engineer, Automation Engineering to develop and implement manufacturing automation for high-volume production. You will lead PLC/HMI programming, robotics integration, and cross-functional collaboration to meet quality, safety and cost targets.

You will work within the Moulding NPI Engineering Team to drive process development and deliver reliable automation solutions that scale with production demands.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum 8 years of hands-on experience with automated control systems in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell).
• Experience with Fanuc robotics programming and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions to boost manufacturing efficiency and reduce manual labor.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs and HMIs (Allen Bradley/Rockwell).
• Program and maintain robotics systems and integrate them into high-volume lines.
• Analyze processes to identify improvements for quality and waste reduction.
• Oversee maintenance of automation systems to minimize downtime and ensure reliability.
• Collaborate with product development, tooling and QA to align automation with goals.
• Support process validation and maintain rigorous technical documentation.
