Job summary

ResMed, a global medical technology company, seeks a Senior Engineer, Automation Engineering, to lead automation for manufacturing processes including equipment, facilities, and documentation. You will join a team focused on NPIs, prototyping, and delivering high-volume, quality manufacturing solutions that impact millions of lives.

You will design and deploy automation systems, program PLCs and HMIs, troubleshoot robotics, and collaborate cross-functionally to meet production and safety

Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronic Engineering (or equivalent).
• Minimum of 8 years hands-on experience with automated control systems in high-volume manufacturing.
• Proficiency in PLC and HMI programming (Allen Bradley/Rockwell).
• Experience with Fanuc robotics programming and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with safety standards (ISO, IEC, OSHA).
• Experience with networked I/O systems (EtherNet/IP, IO-Link).
• Quality-oriented mindset and proactive in updating processes where appropriate.
• Strong communication and documentation skills across cross-functional teams.
• Independent, innovative, detail-oriented team player.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automation solutions to enhance manufacturing efficiency.
• Develop PLC and HMI programs; troubleshoot and optimize.
• Program and maintain Fanuc robots on high-volume lines.
• Analyze processes and implement improvements to reduce waste and improve quality.
• Support process validation and maintain accurate technical documentation.
