Encora Technologies Pte. Ltd. is seeking an experienced automation engineer to design, develop, and maintain automation for infrastructure and database operations in a Singapore-based environment.

The role emphasizes eliminating manual toil through scalable automation, using Python, Bash, and Ansible within enterprise infrastructure. You will implement automation workflows, integrate with APIs and monitoring platforms, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in infrastructure, database, automation, DevOps, or production operations.
• Strong Linux/UNIX administration experience.
• Strong scripting and automation experience.
• Hands-on experience with Ansible or similar configuration-management/automation tools.
• Experience supporting enterprise production environments.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and maintain automation solutions for infrastructure and database operations.
• Identify repetitive, manual, and error-prone operational activities and develop automation to improve efficiency.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, and Unix Shell scripting.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and automation workflows for infrastructure and database operations.
• Automate database provisioning, configuration, patching, validation, monitoring, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.

Automation & Scripting

• Strong experience with Python and/or Bash/Unix Shell scripting.
• Experience developing reusable automation scripts and frameworks.
• Experience with Ansible, including playbooks, roles, variables, inventories, and automation workflows.
• Ability to automate complex multi-step operational processes.
• Experience implementing error handling, logging, validation, notifications, and rollback mechanisms.
• Experience integrating scripts with APIs, command-line tools, monitoring platforms, and enterprise infrastructure.
• Understanding of Git/version control and software development practices is preferred.
• Experience with CI/CD and automation pipelines is an advantage.

Infrastructure Automation

• Strong Linux/UNIX administration and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration.
• Experience with virtual machines and enterprise infrastructure.
• Experience with OCI and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with infrastructure monitoring and operational automation.
• Understanding of networking, storage, compute, and high-availability concepts.
• Experience with Oracle Database Appliance, Exadata Cloud@Customer, and ZFS is highly desirable.

• Strong Linux/UNIX administration experience.
• Strong scripting and automation experience.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional technical teams.
