Job description

The Procurement Associate will be involved in the procurement and purchasing function for all goods and services essential to our day-to-day operations to support our business units (BUs). In addition, the incumbent will be assigned a category to support all BUs. He/She will have to negotiate with vendors to secure the best value and timely supply of goods and services in compliance with our procurement policy for all purchases.

  • Execute daily purchasing and procurement activities for the business unit
  • Act as the main contact and a business partner to assigned BU to support all purchases liaising with vendors and requesters on purchasing matters including sourcing and negotiation for best pricing
  • Duties include sourcing, negotiating, RFQ, tender, conducting the business review, contract, and vendor management
  • Responsible to ensure BU's compliance with our procurement policy
  • Monitor and assess vendor's performance on timely delivery, high quality, and service standards for all goods and services
  • Resolve issues pertaining to category purchases with vendors and business partners
  • Conduct and attend business reviews with BU and vendors on a regular basis
  • Maintain databases and keep track of all records pertaining to purchases, contracts, and tenders
  • Experience in clinical and medical materials, capital equipment, and servicing and maintenance is preferred
  • Support other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Recognized Diploma or Degree with 5 years of relevant experience in purchasing and procurement; preferably in health and community care
  • Knowledge of eProcurement System preferably in SAP
  • Experience with SAP Hana/S4 modules relating to procurement and inventory management.
  • Proficient in Google Suite applications
  • Strong interpersonal and people management skills
  • Team player and willingness to learn and adapt to changes
  • Self-driven and problem solver
