Job summary

Temasek International Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Senior Associate in Portfolio Risk to execute the risk framework with robust analytical support.

You will independently run procedures and provide insights beyond report outputs, ensuring portfolio integrity and informed decision-making. The role requires strong quantitative skills, experience in risk management, and proficiency in econometric modeling, with exposure to Bloomberg/CapIQ and Python/R/SQL advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a highly quantitative discipline.
• 3-6 years of relevant experience in Risk Management, Strategy, or Portfolio Management within a Sovereign Wealth Fund, Asset Manager, or major financial institution.
• Ability to develop top-down macro scenarios and translate them into bottom-up fundamental impacts; proficiency in econometric modeling.
• Strong understanding of valuation methodologies (e.g., DCF modeling) and the ability to run financial models independently.
• Practical working knowledge of financial market databases (e.g., Bloomberg, CapIQ). Programming proficiency (Python, R, or SQL) is a significant advantage.
• Ability to operate with standardized procedures and perform analyses with high accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research into macro themes, geopolitical developments, or structural trends and assess impacts on portfolio assets.
• Run bespoke analytical models to answer management queries with high-quality data output.
• Design and execute stress-testing frameworks to quantify risks at country, sector, and company levels.
• Build and operationalize risk models; translate risk drivers into portfolio impacts across asset classes.
• Prepare reliable risk assessment data and dashboards for Senior Management decisions.
