Job summary

A leading airport management company in Singapore is seeking a Compliance Manager to oversee governance and compliance programmes. The ideal candidate will have a recognized law degree with at least 4 years of experience, strong legal drafting skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. You will work closely with various stakeholders and provide legal support, including drafting agreements and managing corporate governance matters.

Job description

Reporting to the Head of Legal and Compliance

You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the governance and compliance programmes of Changi Airports International (CAI), with a particular focus on CAI’s global business activities. Working closely with internal and external stakeholders, you will contribute to the formulation, implementation, and maintenance of compliance and corporate policies and frameworks to ensure alignment with regulatory obligations. You will play a key role in enhancing existing compliance processes, tracking regulatory developments, identifying and escalating potential compliance risks to Management, and overseeing appropriate resolution measures.

In addition, you will provide legal support to CAI’s business operations. This includes drafting and reviewing commercial agreements, developing legal templates to support project structuring, engaging with strategic partners and project financiers, and managing external counsel engagements. You will also be involved in corporate secretarial and corporate governance matters.

You will support the Company Secretary in ensuring effective Board and Board Committee governance. This includes preparing and coordinating materials for Board and Board Committee meetings, drafting and circulating meeting minutes and Directors’ Resolutions in Writing, and maintaining statutory registers and corporate records.

Requirements

  • A recognised law degree, with a minimum of 4 years' post-qualification experience, either in private practice or in-house.
  • Qualification in Singapore or UK law preferred.
  • Strong legal drafting skills and sound commercial judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in written and spoken Chinese is an advantage, to liaise with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
