The key responsibilities of the role include:

Principle point of contact for Northern Trust Asset Owner and Asset Manager clients taking performance, risk and compliance services by delivering a high quality service by offering day to day support and ensuring continued client satisfaction. Responsible for delivering high quality Performance Services to Asset Owner and Asset Manager Clients within the terms of the SLA. The role will be based in Singapore as part of the Global Investment Risk and Analytical Services Team (IRAS).

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities:

  • Producing client’s Performance Attribution reports that will be delivered to clients on a monthly or quarterly basis. Reports may also involve ex-post Risk Statistics and Contribution Analysis.
  • Manage client relationships by taking an active part in understanding their performance reporting requirements. Understanding the client’s investment objectives and investment strategy.
  • Supporting Senior Consultants with the client relationship and client reporting needs.
  • Responding to client queries for ad-hoc performance analysis and provide clients training for online applications.
  • Work closely with the relationship management team and wider NT partners on all mutual clients
  • Participate in continued product development of performance measurement capabilities and subsequent implementation into ongoing client deliverables.
  • Sustain high level of knowledge in Northern Trust systems, investment instruments/markets and market trends in performance measurement and risk
  • Works with the Manila Team to ensure operational processes and efficiencies are maximized
  • In time, evolve the individual so they can expand their duties in other disciplines e.g. Post Trade Compliance Monitoring and Ex-Ante Risk.

The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Able to manage client relationships effectively
  • A willingness to learn about Performance Attribution and Risk (previous knowledge would be a bonus)
  • Knowledge of financial markets, investment instruments and portfolio management
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to think critically and analyse problems independently
  • Good time management; prioritisation skills and able to stay calm under pressure.
  • Maths/Economics/Finance or any other numerate background at university
