Group Technology and Operations (T&O) enables and empowers the bank with an efficient, nimble, and resilient infrastructure through a strategic focus on productivity, quality & control, technology, people capability, and innovation. In Group T&O, we manage the majority of the Bank's operational processes and aim to delight our business partners through our multiple banking delivery channels.

GFM Operations

GFM Operations operates as a Regional Processing Centre (Hub & Spoke) supporting GFM businesses in the region. The hub and spoke model allows GFM business to scale up while remaining agile in product and service offerings in a fast, evolving market environment. As GFM expands its product offerings and navigates a dynamic regulatory environment, GFM Ops leverages this unique advantage to standardize processes, manage processing risk, facilitate automation, and ensure governance of service level and quality.

Responsibilities

1. Lead and guide the team on Fixed Income Products settlement process and reconciliation control.
2. Provide support for end-to-end processing of Fixed Income Products, including New Issuance.
3. Ensure the smooth completion and settlement of daily operations for Bonds/Repos.
4. Authorize payment and delivery instructions for MT2XX and MT5XX SWIFT messages.
5. Validate all Bond/Repo trades against source documents in Murex and/or Front Arena systems.
6. Execute pre-settlement confirmation with counterparties.
7. Liaise with local T&M branches, CBG, WMO, or the Common Depository on fixing or settlement when necessary.
8. Perform month-end bond holdings reconciliation between Murex and custodians or the Common Depository.
9. Ensure compliance with banking, statutory, internal, and regulatory requirements.
10. Maintain high service levels for stakeholders and clients.
11. Engage with managers to contribute ideas and solutions on risk management.
12. Participate in data and business analytics to support business growth.
13. Leverage data analytics to support a data-driven operating model, such as the Value Map, to achieve predefined outcomes.
14. Foster collaboration across support units and T&M business by managing through the journey.
15. Participate in UAT for system enhancements and business projects on an ad hoc basis.
16. Provide support during Singapore holidays for transactions in other currencies.

Requirements

1. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Treasury Operations.
2. Strong domain knowledge and experience with Treasury products and their process lifecycle.
3. Strong risk and control mindset regarding settlement processes.
4. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, OS software, application programs, or network failures.
5. Team player with a positive attitude to motivate team members towards goals.
6. Knowledge of market and industry requirements for securities settlement and issuance of debt instruments, including repo transactions.
7. Familiarity with derivative products embedded in notes structures.
8. Knowledge of SWIFT message formats and creation.
