What You Will Do:

  • Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all mechanical systems, including HVAC, pumps, motors, Process Exhaust System and Chillers to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
  • Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes, and execute timely repairs to restore equipment functionality while adhering to safety standards.
  • Conduct regular inspections and testing of mechanical systems to identify potential issues, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and facility standards.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, repair logs, and equipment performance reports, to support operational efficiency and audits.
  • Monitor inventory levels of spare parts and tools, coordinating with procurement to ensure availability for scheduled and emergency maintenance.
  • Work closely with facility staff and external contractors to plan and execute maintenance projects, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
  • Adhere to and enforce safety protocols, including lockout/tagout procedures, to maintain a safe working environment during maintenance activities.
  • Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability and efficiency, proposing upgrades or modifications to enhance system performance.
  • Provide rapid response to mechanical breakdowns, prioritizing critical systems to restore operations and minimize production losses.
  • Liaise with external vendors to Perform PMs, source parts, schedule service visits, and negotiate contracts, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of services and materials.
  • Raise and track purchase requisitions for maintenance-related materials and services, ensuring alignment with budget and procurement processes.
  • Close preventive maintenance (PM) tasks in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS), ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance activities.
  • Provide necessary support to System Engineers and Operation teams in implementing continuous improvement programs, FMEA, and other assigned activities.
  • Be involved in planning, managing and updating approved programs & projects with support from System Engineers.
  • Work with internal, external customers, consultant and government agency pertaining to Mechanical system improvement programs/projects where necessary.
  • Ensure proper documentation and training with support from system engineers and operation engineers upon completion of programs/projects.
  • Any other specific tasks as assigned from time to time by section and/or department head.
