Business Function

GFM Operations - GFM Ops operates as a Regional Processing Centre (Hub & Spoke) supporting GFM businesses in the region. The hub and spoke model allow GFM business to scale up while remaining agile in product and service offerings in the fast, evolving market environment. As GFM business expands product offerings in the region coupled with the dynamic regulatory environment, GFM Ops leverages on this unique advantage to continue to standardize processes to manage processing risk and to facilitate automation as well as governance of service level and quality.

Key Accountabilities

  • Deliver all assigned tasks on time and in accordance with SLAs and with no operational risks/losses or control issues
  • Proactively contribute to clean audit and avoid operational incident by consistently adhering to established procedures
  • Continuously review and monitor processes and workflow for improvement in efficiency and productivity

Responsibilities

  • Execute daily operations tasks to provide high-quality service to internal clients, meeting all service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Validate and reconcile exchange-traded products against source and clearers statements.
  • Maintain final exchange settlement prices in the system.
  • Monitor exchange-traded option expirations.
  • Process margin calls and withdrawals with clearers.
  • Maintain and monitor clearers limits.
  • Ensure strict adherence to all internal controls and procedures; and keep Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) updated.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new systems, products, and markets, including implementing processes, controls, and establishing service levels.
  • Support the Exchange and business units with ad-hoc tasks and projects related to listed futures and options products.
  • Respond to and resolve inquiries from traders and business partners in a timely manner

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience, ideally within a futures brokerage or investment banking operations environment. Experience in middle/back-office operations, including process review and improvement, is a significant advantage
  • Sound banking, financial, compliance, control and regulatory knowledge.
  • Experience in supporting the development/enhancement of systems and process / workflow
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills for effective communication with internal stakeholders, exchange, clearing brokers and regulators
  • Demonstrate leadership capabilities to mentor, motivate and inspire team members
  • Ability to participate in weekend/late night LVs
  • Ability to work on SG public holidays, on a rotation basis
  • Teamwork, Dependability with strong Risk & Controls mindset and meticulous
