Job Description:
- Develops appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize end-users satisfaction at the lowest possible cost.
- Plans, manages, and coordinates all activities related to the sourcing and demand aggregated procurement of necessary research consumables and materials needed to meet the changing levels of research’s demand.
- Collaborating with various stakeholders (i.e. end-users, HQ Procurement team, and vendors) to determine and identify the potential demand aggregated contracts that benefits A*STAR.
- Ensure achievement of cost and timelines in meeting objectives across the supply chain function.
- Reviewing of vendors and perform negotiations to obtain the best possible rates.
- Analyse and identify process limitations and/or risks. Creation and implementation of necessary action plans.
- Member of the operations staff, responsible to routinely report on department Tracking Indicators along with appropriate analysis and countermeasures where necessary.
Job Requirements:- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Analytics, or a related field; or relevant work experience in Procurement or Contract Management.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook).
- Self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and initiative.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
