Job description
What The Role Is
You will be part of the AGD Salaries and Pensions team responsible for managing the Government Human Resource and Payroll (HRP) system operations to support payroll, claims, pensions and medical billing administration.
What You Will Be Working On
You will be involved in:
Support central operations to ensure accurate and timely payments to civil servants, pensioners, and healthcare service providers.
Identify opportunities for process streamlining and automation, keeping in mind system-level governance matters such as performance monitoring and reporting.
Support system changes due to HR policy changes and translate policy intent and directions into workable system solutions, in compliance with business and statutory requirements.
Strengthen financial controls of payroll, claims, pensions and medical billing operations using tools such as data analytics to identify control gaps and improvements needed. Work with third-party system vendor and multiple module/track leads of partner agencies of the HRP system to ensure smooth running of the central payroll, claims, pensions and medical billing functions as well as support system remediation and enhancements (including policy-related changes).
Develop Ops-Tech competencies through hands-on opportunities in working with third-party system vendor to perform system enhancements and remediations to HRP through change impact assessment, user acceptance testing, user change management and deployment of solution.
Propose ways to improve service delivery to end-users (e.g. pensioners).
What We Are Looking For
Functional/Technical Competencies
Tertiary education in Accountancy, Business, Finance, Analytics, IT, Systems or related disciplines.
Interest in Ops-Tech work.
Good understanding of finance and/or payroll processes and experience in managing and/or developing systems will be advantageous, preferably with at least 3 years of working experience.
Ability to put forth proposals and recommendations for management decision-making.
Proficiency in basic office productivity tools, especially Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
Knowledge of data analytics would be an advantage.
