Job description

Reporting to the Director of the Strategic Partnership Division, this position requires an analytical thinker with strong relationship-building skills to engage industry, institutes of higher learning and government agencies and conduct horizon scans to identify future trends and growth areas that will enhance SIT’s education and applied research missions.

Key Responsibilities

Industry Engagement and Relationship Management

• Engage with government agencies, institutes of higher learning, and companies to nurture and secure new strategic partnerships that enhance SIT’s educational and applied research activities.
• Ensure effective management and deepening of existing partnerships through robust governance and oversight with clear delivery milestones
• Negotiate, structure and finalise terms for collaboration with industry partners to achieve win-win outcomes
• Track, evaluate and report the impact of partnerships on SIT’s academic programmes, applied research initiatives, and community engagement efforts.
• Lead initiatives promoting collaboration and knowledge exchange, including organising workshops, roundtables and networking events to build thought leadership.
• Conduct long-term horizon scanning to identify industry trends and new growth areas relevant to SIT’s educational and research focus areas.
• Support business development efforts for key projects or centres related to SIT’s strategic goals and initiatives.
• Collaborate with other divisions within SIT to develop new educational pathways and applied research areas while ensuring timely delivery and quality outcomes.
• Assist with any additional duties assigned by the Director of the Strategic Partnership Division and/or the Deputy President of the Industry & Community Group.

CRM Strategy, Adoption & DataGovernance

• Drive internal adoption strategy for industry CRM upgrades.
• Create user-friendly training materials,playbooks, and conduct onboardingworkshops.
• Lead change management to mitigateuser resistance and provide hands-onsupport.
• Act as primary liaison between businessusers and IT, translating business needsinto technical requirements.
• Establish and monitor CRM data integritystandards, track usage metrics, and reporton user adoption KPIs

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or other related disciplines.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in strategic planning, business development, or a similar role.
• Ability to transverse and be conversant in various industry verticals.
• Experience with major enterprise CRMs (e.g., Salesforce,Microsoft Dynamics), preferably having led systemimplementations, migrations, or user adoption drives.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritise tasks, and deliver timely results.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including industry leaders, government officials, and academic faculty.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address issues proactively.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey complex information and ideas to diverse audiences.
• Collaborative approach to work, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Occasional international travel may be required.
