Job description

• Assist in logistics planning, including layout design, space optimization, racking setup, and workflow analysis, under the supervision of the Department Manager.
• Evaluate logistics operations and suggest improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Apply Lean principles (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma) to drive operational excellence.
• Create and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), visual management boards, and performance dashboards.
• Collaborate with IT teams to support WMS integration during system implementations or upgrades.
• Contribute to new business setups by assisting with facility layout, workforce planning, and procurement of necessary equipment.
• Utilize tools such as Excel, Power BI, and SQL to monitor and report on operational performance.
• Develop warehouse simulation models using software like MS Visio or AutoCAD.
• Ensure adherence to safety, health, and environmental standards.
• Support the development of long-term warehouse strategies in line with business growth objectives.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors during planning and execution phases.
• Perform feasibility assessments on-site and conduct reviews after deployment to ensure effectiveness.
• Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and deliver insights through performance dashboards.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement through team engagement and routine SOP evaluations.
• Assess and recommend suitable automation technologies and digital solutions for warehouse operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or a related field.
• Preferable 3-5 years of experience in logistics planning, warehouse design, or supply chain operations. Hands-on involvement in warehouse setup, layout design, and process flow mapping
• Prior experience focusing on contract logistics and operational improvements (Lean, cost reduction, 5S, visual boards).
• Proficient in MS Visio, AutoCAD or similar design/layout tools will be added advantages.
• Strong knowledge of ERP (SAP/Oracle) and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) will be added advantages.
